My heart is filled with sadness and pain, we lost the girl Fatima yesterday, June 22, 2019, during we transfer her from her village to the capital Sana'a for treatment and she is in critical condition as a result of kidney damage.
Fatima 12 years old and weigh 10 kg,
This girl has suffered a long time from severe acute malnutrition that has caused her many health problems.
I met Fatima in January this year at the Aslam Health Center in Hajjah province, north of Hodeidah.
she was a bones were skin-coated, weighing 10 kilograms.
From a family of 11 "brothers and sisters".
She was live with her family under a tree.
Thanks to God then our donors and Dr. Makkiya's efforts, Fatima restored the bright of the face.
During her treatment of malnutrition and her improved condition with up her weight, we transported her to Sana'a in April for thorough checkups, tests showed weak heart muscles-liver and spleen problems-and severe stomach infections.
She returned to her village, but with all these health problems,
she had the strength and hardness I never saw like.
I felt like she was living her last days, but her smile gave me hope for her survival, but death was faster.
Fatima died in silence at 11:00 am June 22.
This is the fate of thousands of children in Yemen as a result of the Saudi war and the unjust blockade of Yemen.
Fatima is not the first Yemeni child to die of starvation, and it certainly, she will not be the last with the continued silence of the international community for these crimes.
It is very painful to watch these children die before our eyes one after another, and we are powerless to save them.
How long will this tragedy continue?
How long will the world remain silent?
May God have mercy on you, Fatima, and all the children of Yemen.
I lost one of my Children (Fatima)...
I will never forget you.
